A finales de este mes se anunciarán los nominados de una categoría que se juzga en persona, la de Medios Interactivos, así como los galardonados de dos categorías con jurado: Logro Individual en Animación y la recién creada Iniciativa de Servicio Público.

NATAS creó el concurso y la ceremonia independientes Children's & Family en 2021, tras un par de años de ajustes en la forma de presentar las categorías infantiles de los Emmy. La medida, que supuso la primera ampliación de la lista de premios Emmy se produjo en medio de un aumento de las presentaciones en el género infantil. En concreto, sólo para la categoría de Logro Individual en Animación de 2020 se presentaron más de 300 candidaturas, más que en ninguna otra categoría de los Emmy. 

La ceremonia se realizará en algún momento del mes de diciembre de este año.
